There Are Many Ways to Help

According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, 33,129 veterans experienced homelessness in January 2022. This number does not include their dependents. Help us to serve these courageous individuals and their dependents that have selflessly served and sacrificed for us.

Where are my handmade goods going?

The map below shows the current/upcoming events and Stand Downs that T.H.R.I.V.E. is planning to serve in 2023. All events, Stand Downs and dates are tentative.

There are four main ways to help T.H.R.I.V.E. Assn. to accomplish its mission to provide hand-made items to our underprivileged veterans:

Make and Donate an Item

You can make an item(s) to donate that we will collect and distribute to those in need during Homeless Veterans Stand Down events. We will accept any hand-made goods, within our accepted guidelines, so if you can knit, crochet, weave, or sew – your donation is welcomed! For guidelines and details, please refer to our FAQ section.

Donate Materials for the Cause

Do you have any extra yarn, hooks, needles, or other such things that you would like to donate to our organization? We will gladly accept them for use within the organization, as well as at T.H.R.I.V.E. Association events. For more details, please refer to our FAQ section.

Make a Monetary Donation

Any amount is more than welcome, as even $5 can buy a fine skein of yarn! If you wish to make a donation online, you can do so safely and securely by clicking the yellow “Donate” button either at the top or bottom of this website. We also accept cash or credit/debit card donations in person at any of our public events and during regular office hours. Please make all checks payable to “Thrive d.b.a. T.H.R.I.V.E. Association.” For more answers to questions and details on donating, please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions page.

Volunteer With Us

There are numerous ways to volunteer to help us at T.H.R.I.V.E. Assn.! You can donate your time with us by assisting us at future events, such as at booths or at gatherings.

You can also donate your skill set:

  • Teaching others
  • Pro bono work
    • Are you a seasoned professional who wants to help veterans but don’t craft? No problem. Donate your services! We can always use them!
    • If you have a skill, or anything that you’d like to contribute but are unsure if we can use it, please feel free to contact us by sending us a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
    • If you are just starting out as a young professional, or changing careers, making connections can sometimes be difficult. T.H.R.I.V.E. Association can help with that. We are a small but growing Organization that would love to give a reference and community service credit.

If you are interested in any of the above, please fill out a Volunteer Form and we will keep in touch!
