Happy July 4th Weekend!

We would like to wish our wonderful T.H.R.I.V.E. Association family a safe and happy Independence Day Weekend! We’d also like to take a moment to remember our brave heroes, past and present, who have selflessly sacrificed so much to help make this great nation of ours the land of the free and the home of the brave. We are all truly grateful!

Memorial Day 2021

Today we honor those brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of their country. Please take a moment today to reflect upon and appreciate all of those who have fallen in each American conflict.

Valentine’s Day

We understand that Valentines’ Day 2021, like Valentine’s Day 2020, is quite a bit different for most of us. Remember, you are not alone. We are in this together. Please know that our staff are always here for our T.H.R.I.V.E Association family- even if you just want to talk, please don’t be afraid to reach out. Our office number is (469) 427-9654. Someone will be there to take your call or will return calls as soon as possible. Loneliness and depression are a serious problem; especially in these uncertain times. These issues recognize no boundaries and have the ability to affect us all. Please don’t dismiss them. On that note, if you are able, please remember to reach out to a loved one this Sunday. Even a simple text message can mean a lot to someone who is struggling with these issues.

Happy National Hat Day!

Happy National Hat Day!

Although several of the Stand Downs that we support have been postponed or have had to be altered to keep our communities safe in this current pandemic, we are still collecting goods that will be sent to the various V.A.s throughout the year so please, please keep crafting! If you are not a crafter, but would like to help, there are still many ways to support our cause! Please consider donating materials and/or making a monetary donation to help us cover the costs of materials, shipping, and overhead. If you need yarn, or other supplies, please contact us through email at thriveassociation@thrivevets.org or by phone at (469) 427-9654. If you have donations, we are still continuing our policy of curbside pickup. Please contact us to schedule a pickup if you are in the DFW area. If you reside outside the DFW area and would like to make an in-kind donation, please contact us to make arrangements. Remember, even one lovingly handcrafted hat can make a huge difference in the life of an underprivileged veteran or their dependent.

Happy Fourth!

Although our typical 4th of July celebrations are tempered by our efforts to stop the spread of Covid-19, let us all still be ever mindful of the sacrifices of those who gave so much of themselves to ensure the freedom of this great nation. As has been said so many times before, freedom does not come freely.

There are several Stand Downs fast approaching and we are still working diligently to make sure that each of our nation’s brave heroes and their dependents receive our essential goods. There is still plenty of time to donate for these events. For those who live in the DFW area, we provide residential curbside pickup service. Please call our office to make arrangements. If you live outside of the DFW area and would like to donate handcrafted goods, we do accept donations via parcel post. You can also donate monetarily to our cause through our website at thrivevets.org.

Please stay safe and have a happy Independence Day!

Memorial Day 2020

Let us never forget those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.

Although we are amidst a crisis and thus cannot honor our fallen heroes as we have done in years past, please keep them in your thoughts. This is the land of the free because it is the home of those brave men and women.

Veteran’s Day and the Dallas Stand Down

Happy Veteran’s Day! Today we remember our nation’s brave veterans and their noble sacrifices. We at T.H.R.I.V.E. Association would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of those who have served. We are so grateful for all that you have done for our great nation.

The Dallas Stand Down was held this past November 7, and T.H.R.I.V.E. Association was able to pass out 339 hand made garments to our brave homeless veterans and their families.

Please remember that we still have several Stand Downs coming up and with Winter drawing nearer, we need hats, scarves, mittens, etc. to meet the needs of the veterans and their dependents who are scheduled to attend.

A Spooky Holiday and an Upcoming Stand Down

Happy Halloween! We are hard at work preparing for the upcoming Stand Down being held in Dallas, Texas on November 7th. With an estimated turn out of 400-500 homeless veterans (plus more for dependents), it is looking to be the largest Stand Down that we are serving all year! With that being said, we need you to send in any last donations that you are working on as soon as possible. We will weave in any loose ends and wet block all garments. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. We appreciate your continued support and wish you a positively frightful Halloween!

Remember Our Fallen

Today is an important day in which we remember our nation’s fallen heroes- those brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of their country. As you are enjoying your holiday festivities, please take a moment to reflect and pay tribute to those who have fallen in each American conflict.
