Victoria Walker
Chief Executive Officer, Board Member
Victoria is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas and Vermont Law School. In between her degrees, Victoria was the Events Coordinator for the Services to Armed Forces division of the American Red Cross in Dallas, Texas. During this time, along with her duties of helping those currently serving in the military and their families, she participated in her first Homeless Military Veterans’ Stand Downs. The fact that there were homeless military veterans in the US was a truly sobering realization and having the opportunity to meet those brave individuals and hear their stories left lasting impressions that deeply affected her. This was just the motivation and moving experience that she needed to plot the course for her life. In August 2015, with the help of a dear friend and colleague, Victoria founded T.H.R.I.V.E. Association. Her vision was for the Organization to offer a hand up to the brave men and women who had sacrificed so much for their country.
Torrey Mirow
Chief Operating Officer, Board Member
When Torrey heard of the plights of the underprivileged veterans in the inner cities in detail from Victoria, he wanted to help in any way that he could. He felt that T.H.R.I.V.E. Association’s core principle of donating hand-made, American goods and items, as opposed to bulk-purchased imports, made for a more personal and direct human connection between the donators and the underprivileged veterans in need. Torrey handles T.H.R.I.V.E. Association’s inventory, record keeping, website presence, IT, photography, and graphic design.
